Jharkhand minister Alamgir took 1.5% cut from every contractor who got work: ED

Arrested Alamgir Alam, the Jharkhand minister for rural development, allegedly received bribes from every contractor awarded work under his ministry, with payoffs totaling 1.5% of the value of the allocated work, according to the Enforcement Directorate's remand note filed on Wednesday. Alam was sentenced to six days in ED custody.
